In a quiet corner of Stevensville, Montana, the life of a young, 25-year-old Caucasian woman, Marisa Anne Wahl, was tragically cut short on the evening of Tuesday, March 10, 2020. She was found deceased in the 5th wheel trailer she shared with Logan Dallas Christopher, the father of her two young children. What began as a domestic concern over Christopher's alleged drug use spiraled into a devastating double homicide that shook the small community.
Earlier that day, Christopher's parents had spoken with him about his apparent use of illegal drugs. The conversation seemed to conclude without incident, but a sense of unease lingered. That evening, around 7 p.m., Marisa made a distressing phone call to Christopher's mother, Tiffanie Greenslade, urging her to come to the trailer immediately. Greenslade rushed over, followed shortly by her husband, Noe Christopher. When Noe arrived, he heard his wife telling their son to "put the gun down."
In a moment of quick thinking, he grabbed their 3-year-old grandchild from the entryway and returned to his house to call 911.
When the first Ravalli County Sheriff's Deputy arrived, they found a grim scene. Noe Christopher was outside with a gunshot wound to his arm. Inside the trailer, the deputy discovered the bodies of both Marisa Wahl and 47-year-old Tiffanie Greenslade. Marisa had sustained a single, fatal gunshot wound to the back of her head. Miraculously, her 11-month-old son was found crawling on the floor near her body, physically unharmed.
The perpetrator, Logan Dallas Christopher, fled the scene, leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase that ended with his apprehension in Missoula. He was charged with two counts of deliberate homicide for the deaths of Marisa Wahl and Tiffanie Greenslade, as well as attempted deliberate homicide for shooting his father. Additional charges included two counts of criminal endangerment for creating a risk to the two children present during the incident. In May 2020, Christopher pleaded guilty to all charges, ensuring he would spend the rest of his life in prison for the violent acts that ended the lives of the mother of his children and his own mother.
