On October 31, 1971, the body of 28-year-old Daniel O'Connell from Lowell, Massachusetts, was discovered in a wooded area off Route 106 in Loudon, New Hampshire. An autopsy revealed that he died from shotgun wounds and had also suffered blunt force injuries to his head and face, which contributed to his death.
Despite investigations, O'Connell's murder remains unsolved. The New Hampshire Cold Case Unit continues to seek information to bring justice to his family.
