On November 19, 2017, 18-year-old Ian Jewell was fatally shot in the parking lot of an Ace Hardware store in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Jewell, a senior at Manchester Memorial High School, had arranged to meet 16-year-old Jaiden Ciruzzi for a purported drug transaction. Ciruzzi, however, intended to rob Jewell and brought a loaded 9mm handgun to the meeting. During the encounter, an argument ensued, leading to a struggle over the weapon.
