Cheryl Hanna, a distinguished Vermont Law School professor and constitutional scholar, passed away on July 27, 2014, at the age of 48. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she was raised in a large Christian Palestinian family. Hanna earned her bachelor's degree in sociology and anthropology, magna cum laude, from Kalamazoo College, and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
