In the autumn of 2023, the quiet woods of Plainfield, Vermont, became the final resting place for 42-year-old Jeffrey Caron, a White male from Barre. His life was cut short by a gunshot wound in what authorities have described as a targeted killing stemming from a drug-related dispute.
