In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Providence, Rhode Island, the life of a veteran police officer, James Lloyd Allen, a 50-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically cut short. On April 17, 2005, inside the very headquarters of the Providence Police Department where he had served for 27 years, a routine interrogation turned deadly.
