On the afternoon of March 16, 1982, shots rang out at a target range outside Worland, and a 31-year-old White male, Gerald “Jerry” P. Salzman, was found dead alongside his friend and co-worker, 39-year-old Richard Edward Nickels.
Both men were described in following reports as oilfield workers who had gone to the Worland range that day.
