On June 23, 2022, a tragic shooting occurred at the Embassy Tavern in Green River, Wyoming, resulting in the deaths of 36-year-old Jessie Wells and 39-year-old Aaron Sadler. Another individual, Brian Nussbaum, sustained injuries during the incident.

The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Douglas Wolf of Green River, was pursued by law enforcement following the shooting. During the apprehension, Wolf succumbed to apparent self-inflicted injuries.
