Glenn Guerrero, an 18-year-old Hispanic/Latino male from Keaʻau, was found dead on the afternoon of August 12, 1996, off a dirt road above the area then known as Shipman Ballpark, a place later referred to as the Buddy Perry Soccer Fields. The scene, tucked away above the ballpark, suggested that whatever had happened to him had unfolded quickly and out of sight.
