In the late hours of a Tuesday evening in Washington, D.C., a sequence of events unfolded that would end in the tragic death of 38-year-old Edward Eugene Hall Jr. On September 9, 2014, at approximately 11:07 pm, police responded to a report of a stabbing at the intersection of 1st and Brandywine Streets in the Southeast quadrant of the city.
