On August 23, 2007, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Tayon James Glover, age 32, was shot and killed in the 1400 block of Girard Street NW, Washington, D.C. The incident took place in the Columbia Heights neighborhood, a part of the city that has struggled with gun violence over the years. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and continues to investigate the case, urging the public to come forward with any information that might assist in identifying those responsible.
