On February 1, 2014, 34-year-old Fonzo Caddell was fatally shot outside the home of Charles Ryan Carroll in West Blocton, Alabama. The incident occurred following an argument that erupted over Carroll's refusal to give Caddell a tattoo while he was intoxicated. The Alabama Bureau of Investigation took charge of the case, and Carroll was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.
