On March 15, 2008, Reginald Gaither, aged 44, was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. The incident took place at approximately 10:27 p.m. in the unit block of Evarts Street, NE. Police responded to a call for service at North Capitol and Evarts Street, where they found Gaither in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
