On a Saturday night in Washington, D.C., the life of 42-year-old Reginald Gaither was cut short. It was March 15, 2008, when police responded to a call at approximately 10:27 p.m. at the intersection of North Capitol and Evarts streets in the Northeast quadrant of the city.
