Matthew Dickerson, a 27-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on March 6, 2016, in a violent incident that occurred in the early morning hours. Dickerson was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence in the western part of Birmingham, in a neighborhood that had experienced its share of criminal activity.
