In the early hours of a Monday morning, on August 18, 2008, the life of 17-year-old Shanee Dougherty was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. An African-American female, Shanee was in the 3600 block of 22nd Street, SE, at approximately 1:30 a.m. when she was fatally shot.
