On July 25, 2016, 36-year-old white female Lorena Dawn Leasure of Brunswick, Georgia, was fatally shot in the head while traveling on Interstate 85 near Cusseta, Alabama. She was a passenger in a sedan with three men en route to Florida. During the journey, a firearm discharged inside the vehicle, striking Lorena Dawn Leasure in the head.
