On June 30, 2017, 43-year-old Jacob O'Bryan was fatally shot in Elberta, Alabama. The incident occurred at a residence on Schoen Road, where O'Bryan lived with his roommate, 57-year-old Gregory David Buck. According to reports, both men had been consuming alcohol that evening. After Buck returned from purchasing more alcohol, an argument ensued between the two.
