In the spring of 2019, the life of 40-year-old Daniel McCall, a Black/African American man from Montgomery, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On the evening of May 10th, McCall was fatally shot in his hometown. The incident that led to his death unfolded as a violent encounter that would ultimately claim more than one life.
Following the shooting of McCall, the individual suspected of pulling the trigger attempted to flee the scene.
A pursuit ensued, which ended abruptly when the suspect was involved in a vehicle wreck. The crash proved to be fatal for the suspected shooter, bringing a grim and immediate conclusion to the question of their apprehension and potential prosecution.
