In the early hours of May 19, 2019, Madison County authorities responded to a shooting incident in the 100 block of Lady Slipper Bend in Harvest, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 51-year-old Elena Voronenkova suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate CPR and other lifesaving efforts, Voronenkova succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
