Montgomery Police Department officers and Fire Medics rushed to the scene around 6:20 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim situation. Inside the home, Barbara Harwood was found with a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation pointed to a domestic dispute that had escalated to a devastating conclusion.
