On July 24, 2021, 40-year-old Clifford Lewis Henderson was fatally shot in the Brownsville community of Macon County, Alabama. The incident occurred during a birthday party at a residence where Henderson, a neighbor, had joined the gathering. An altercation ensued, leading to gunfire that resulted in Henderson's death at the scene. Another individual, 50-year-old Paula Denise "Pam" Dumas, was critically injured in the shooting and later succumbed to her injuries.
