On June 12, 2022, 22-year-old Qra'Vonta Arquise Smith, also known as YNIC Vontaa, was fatally shot during a domestic argument in Midfield, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. in the 1300 block of 8th Avenue. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
