On August 9, 2016, Deonta Farrar, aged 32, was shot and killed in the 4500 block of Quarles Street, Northeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m., and emergency responders found Farrar suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Farrar was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
