In April 1983, 31-year-old Paula Goulding, originally from Kona, Hawaii, was working as an exotic dancer at the Great Alaska Bush Company in Anchorage, Alaska. She had previously been employed as a secretary in Fairbanks before transitioning to dancing. Described as bashful compared to her colleagues, Paula found nude dancing challenging, initially performing topless before fully embracing the role.
