A fifteen‑year‑old female of Black or African American descent, Precious Dawn Jinae Aijalon Yvette Alex‑Talamaivao—known by family and friends as Precious or “Nae Nae”—was killed in the early morning hours of April 1, 2014, in her home in Anchorage, Alaska.
