On June 30, 2019, in Kenai, Alaska, 39-year-old Lisa Rutzebeck and her mother, 60-year-old Rachelle Armstrong, were found shot to death in their home on California Avenue. The Kenai Police Department responded to reports of a shooting early that morning and discovered the two women deceased at the scene.

The investigation led to the arrest of 25-year-old Masonn Byrd, who was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths. Byrd had a history of violent crime ...Read More
