On May 6, 2022, in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska, 26-year-old Rolando Pressley was fatally shot following a confrontation with 42-year-old Matthew Lee Myers. Earlier that day, Myers observed Pressley allegedly starting a dumpster fire near his residence, which prompted Myers to arm himself with a Glock 9mm pistol and seek out Pressley to confront him.
