An Alaskan Native man, 73-year-old Peter Frankson, was shot dead on the evening of August 14, 2024 in Point Hope, Alaska. He died from gunfire after an assailant entered his home on Agvik Street, in the western part of this remote Inupiat whaling village. The death was classified as a homicide.
