On August 14, 2024, 73-year-old Peter Frankson was tragically killed in Point Hope, Alaska. The incident occurred in the late evening at his residence on Agvik Street, a location on the west side of this remote Inupiat whaling community. Witnesses reported that a 16-year-old male entered Frankson's home armed with a firearm and began shooting, resulting in Frankson's death.
