On October 5, 2021, 48-year-old Jonathan Wayne Jones was found fatally shot in his home on Hillside Avenue in Muscoda, Alabama, a community near Bessemer in Jefferson County. Relatives discovered Jones' body around 6 p.m., and Jefferson County deputies responded to the scene, finding evidence of an apparent struggle.
