In the summer of 1977, a grim discovery was made in Fort Collins, Colorado, that would leave a lasting mark on the community. On June 25th of that year, the decomposing body of 28-year-old Steven Kirk, a White male, was found inside a camping trailer parked at the Ramada Inn. The scene within the trailer painted a brutal picture of his final moments; he had been severely beaten to death.
