On September 20, 2019, Angela McCoy, a 49-year-old woman originally from Hoover, Alabama, was found deceased in a residence she had been renting in the Bethel community of Cullman County. She had relocated to this area approximately three weeks prior to her death. The discovery was made during a welfare check conducted by local authorities.
