Joshua Words, an 18-year-old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was fatally shot on December 18, 2015. The incident occurred near the intersection of N. 20th Street and Highland Avenue.

At the time of the shooting, it was unclear whether the victim and the perpetrator knew each other. The police investigation did not immediately reveal any connections between the two individuals involved.
