On a cold December evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 18-year-old Joshua Words, a Black / African American male, was walking home when his life was tragically cut short. On December 18, 2015, shortly before 8:00 p.m. near North 20th and Highland Avenue, Joshua engaged in a conversation with another male. For reasons that remain unknown, the other individual pulled out a firearm and shot Joshua, who died at the scene despite the life-saving efforts of police and fire personnel. At the time, it was ...
