In the late morning of September 1, 2017, a 21-year-old African-American man named Dante Quezaire Jr. was left at a local hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a severe gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, the young man succumbed to his injuries the next day. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were shrouded in mystery from the beginning, as law enforcement had no information on where the violent act had taken place.
