Brent Gutheinz, a 22-year-old student at the University of Texas at Dallas, was found murdered on June 22, 1997, near Van Alstyne, Texas, in Grayson County. An avid bodybuilder and Richardson resident, Brent was last seen a few days earlier in the company of friends and had been engaged in a complex relationship with his girlfriend, Chanel Banks.
