On November 19, 2008, Billy Floyd McVea, a 46-year-old resident of San Antonio, Texas, was fatally shot while walking through an apartment complex on Ray Bon Drive, located on the city’s Northeast Side. The incident occurred around building 17, where McVea was shot in the lower torso. He was visiting friends at the complex when he decided to leave one friend's apartment to visit another.
