Hector Mendez Melendez, age 38, was shot and killed on May 26, 2009, in Houston, Texas. The incident took place in the parking lot of an apartment complex where Melendez had been living. The investigation revealed that Hector's death was a result of a targeted shooting carried out by a known individual.
