Raymond Smith, an 18-year-old resident of Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2010, after an encounter with a Houston police officer. The incident occurred in the 6000 block of East T.C. Jester when Smith, in an agitated state, stopped his vehicle next to the officer's cruiser. According to the Houston Police Department, Smith behaved erratically, removing his clothes and charging at the officer, which led to the use of a Taser, followed by the fatal shooting.
