David Yac, a 16-year-old Houston resident, was killed on June 30, 2014, when a stray bullet tragically struck him inside his family’s apartment at the 6301 Ranchester complex. Around 12:35 a.m., gunfire from an unknown source penetrated a wall and struck Yac while he was in a closet, resulting in fatal injuries. The Houston Police Department launched an investigation, though initial reports indicated a lack of witnesses or suspects.
Yac’s family, devastated by the loss, has sought justice, and Crime Stoppers offered a reward to encourage information that could lead to the shooter’s arrest.
