On the night of August 18, 2014, 47-year-old Jonathan Estes, a White male, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds at his warehouse, Kingspoint Mullet, located in the 10900 block of Kingspoint Road in southeast Houston. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning. Witnesses reported seeing an unidentified individual dragging Estes into the warehouse shortly before gunshots were heard. Family members were informed by police that the motive appeared to be robbery. Estes was the executive director of the Southern Artist Foundation and was renowned for providing a space for graffiti artists to showcase their work legally. His contributions to the Houston art community were significant, as he fostered a sense of unity among diverse groups through his events and gatherings. Friends and family remembered him as a fun-loving individual who brought people together from various walks of life. Following his death, a mural was created at Kingspoint Mullet to honor his memory. As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. Authorities continue to seek information from the public to aid in their investigation.
