On February 7, 2015, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 42-year-old Jorge Amador and his wife were closing their business, Riccy Beauty Salon, located at 6118 Clarewood Drive in southwest Houston. As they were locking up, two masked men armed with guns approached them. The assailants demanded money and, during the confrontation, pushed Amador's wife to the ground. In an attempt to protect her, Amador intervened and was subsequently shot by one of the suspects. The attackers fled the scene in a gray or white four-door car, possibly a Toyota Corolla. Amador was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
CHRONICLE
The Houston Police Department described the suspects as one Hispanic male and one Black male, both between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and dressed in black clothing. Despite investigative efforts, the case remains unsolved. Authorities continue to seek information from the public to identify and apprehend those responsible for this tragic incident.
