On February 7, 2015, at approximately 9:30 p.m., 42-year-old Jorge Amador and his wife were closing their business, Riccy Beauty Salon, located at 6118 Clarewood Drive in southwest Houston. As they were locking up, two masked men armed with guns approached them. The assailants demanded money and, during the confrontation, pushed Amador's wife to the ground.
