On February 12, 2015, Alvin Kinney, a 60-year-old Brinks armored guard, was ambushed and killed during a robbery while making a delivery at a Capital One Bank on Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas. The assailants, described as at least three individuals wearing body armor and face-shield masks, opened fire as Kinney was returning to his armored truck. The suspects fled the scene using a stolen white Ford F-250 pickup truck, which was believed to have been used in other crimes.
