Dwight Swearington, a 26-year-old man, was tragically killed on August 17, 2015, in east Houston. Swearington was shot multiple times as he exited his vehicle outside his apartment in the 600 block of Maxey Road shortly before 9 p.m. on that Monday evening. Following the shooting, Swearington was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
