On the evening of February 25, 2016, Rayland Dunta Maryland, a 22-year-old resident of Houston, was fatally shot in the 11000 block of Segrest around 10:30 p.m. The incident occurred after Maryland and an unidentified suspect became involved in an argument that escalated into an exchange of gunfire.
