On the evening of May 26, 2016, a tragic shooting took place at an apartment complex on Selinsky Road in Houston, Texas, where 27-year-old Lakendrick McIntyre was fatally wounded. When Houston Police Department (HPD) officers arrived at the scene, they discovered McIntyre along with a large gathering of people in the parking lot. Medical personnel quickly attended to McIntyre but ultimately pronounced him dead at the scene due to his injuries.

The incident was not isolated to McIntyre alone. Witnesses directed police to an apartment within the complex, where a female victim was also found suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital for treatment, although her condition at that time was not specified. Additionally, another male, who had reportedly fled the scene, was later located and taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for medical care. Despite the multiple victims involved, there were no immediate details on the motivations behind the shooting, nor were any suspects identified in the immediate aftermath.

The HPD Homicide Division called on the public for assistance in solving the case, urging anyone with relevant information to contact either the Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers. The ongoing investigation left many unanswered questions regarding the motives behind the attack and the individuals responsible for McIntyre's death. This incident underscores the challenges faced by law enforcement in responding to violent crimes and the importance of community cooperation in the investigation process.
