On June 29, 2016, Eric Perez, a 22-year-old man, was shot and killed while walking on West Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Avenue, near a gas station. According to police reports, Perez was shot once in the chest, and his body was found lying partially on the sidewalk and the street when authorities arrived.
