On July 4, 2016, Daquarius Tucker, aged 19, was tragically shot and killed at a block party in Houston's Fourth Ward. The gathering, which took place on Robin Street, was part of the community's Independence Day celebrations, featuring a neighborhood fireworks display. During the festivities, shots were fired, and Tucker, along with two other men—Charles Jackson, aged 29, and Jamal Dixon-Lackey, aged 26—was killed.
