On July 14, 2016, 27-year-old Marissa De’Sha White was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Crofton Place Apartments, located at 9500 Crofton Street in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred following two separate shootings at the complex that day. According to reports, White was standing in the parking area between two buildings when she was shot in the head just before a responding officer arrived in response to the first 911 call.
