James Bowman, a 73-year-old security guard, was fatally shot on October 17, 2016, while on duty in Houston, Texas. The incident took place in the Sharpstown area at around 3:50 p.m., in the 9400 block of Concourse Drive. Bowman was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by two men. According to a witness, a struggle seemed to ensue, possibly over the keys to Bowman's vehicle, before shots were fired.
