On December 15, 2016, Shanna Vandewege, aged 36, and her three-month-old son, Diederik, were found dead in their Fort Worth, Texas, home. Both had their throats cut. Her husband, Craig Vandewege, called 911 that night, claiming that a burglar had broken in, ransacked the house, and killed his family.
