Gabriel Castaneda, 30, was fatally shot on March 14, 2017, outside the Fantasy Plaza Club, a strip club located at 8503 North Freeway in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when a disturbance broke out in the rear parking lot of the club. During the altercation, one of the suspects got into a blue GMC pickup truck and fired at least one shot, hitting Castaneda. After being shot, Castaneda managed to drive away from the scene but collapsed and died in his vehicle in the 600 block of Dewalt Street, where he was pronounced dead by responding paramedics.

Surveillance footage released by the Houston Police Department showed four suspects, all described as Hispanic males in their mid-20s, involved in the shooting. The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in the blue GMC pickup truck. Authorities have asked the public for assistance in identifying the suspects, and Crime Stoppers has offered a reward for any information leading to arrests in the case. Despite the release of the video, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains open.

Many took to social media to mourn the loss, describing him as a loving father and a kind person who did not deserve such a fate.
